Mit 28 Wiederholungen im Mittelteil ist die Magrathea fertig geworden. Das Blocken tat ihr gut. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass das Maschenbild - trotz handgesponnenem Garn - so regelmäßig werden würde. Und die Farben … die wurden am Ende doch noch interessanter als ich gedacht habe.
The ugly duckling became a nice swan
I was quite unhappy with my second skein of handspun yarn. The singles were beautiful but I didn’t give enough twist while plying. in addition the colors seem to mix more to muddy than a colorful overall impression. So I named it “Putzlappen Garn” which translates to something like “cleaning rag yarn”.
Surprisingly it came out quite nicely when I knitted it up into a magrathea shawl.
